 Lets be honest, Juicy Couture is all about making a statement, specially when it comes to it fragrances and its newest launch has the be the funkiest and most brilliant to date.

Before we even begin to go there with the scent itself we need to speak about the bottle.

Talk about making a real statement with this one guys!

The OUI Juicy Couture bottle features a contemporary decanter-style shape and one-of-a-kind dual colour glass In a soft yet bold pink and fiery red-orange, highlighting the various elements of a woman’s personality. Soft and feminine and yet also sensual and passionate!

 The oversized gold chain and logo pendant draped around the neck spelling out OUI Juicy Couture gives the design a playfully provocative feel yet the floral gold neck of the lid brings back the femininity and adds a rather sweet element to the appearance.  

Finished with a modern crystal topper that captures the light and radiates out, the bottle is as  elegant as it is edgy and as complex as it is simple really. 

All of these elements of course hint at the nectar within.

OUI opens with a tarte juiciness from water lemon accord- a concoction of watermelon and lemon along with juicy pear and Acai tea accord.

Wild Tuberose from India is paired with sophisticated Jasmine absolute and delicious dew honeysuckle to create a feminine and playful heart, a core foundation of Juicy Couture’s DNA.

A complex and woody dry down rounds off OUI with warm captive musks, glowing amber resins and the unique Techno woods accord for an edgy finish that lifts the entire composition of the scent.

Categorised as a ‘Fresh’ scent I’d say that’s a fair description of this fabulously unique fragrance. 

Light and fun, playful and intriguing it is a gorgeous perfume.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Glace

There is no denying that Viva La Juicy Glace by Juicy Couture is a super girly fragrance.

Come on. Just look at this bottle. It practically screams OTT sweet girlyness!

Unsurprisingly the Viva La Juicy fragrances are inspired by bold women who live life to the fullest and are always the life and soul of the party. 

Vive La Glace plays on this further and has been created for the enchanting and captivating girls who can turn the ordinary into something fabulous.

Fabulous this scent certainly is. Both inside and out.

Inspired by a world of frozen beauty this fragrance features a mixture of both fresh and cool notes while retaining the DNA of the original Viva La Juicy.

The bottle also reflects this loyalty to the original scent, retaining the iconic bottle shape and gem-style stopper but this time the bottle gleams with a cool, iridescent shimmer reminiscent of an ice sculpture.

The stopper is adorned with a powdery pink ribbon and feathered puff surrounding a single flower offering a feminine touch to the overall appearance.

The contrast of the cool, hard as ice bottle and soft, fluffy and warm pink ribbon hasn’t gone un-noticed and is a great visual representation of the scent within.

The fragrance opens with notes of frozen Italian mandarin, frosted cassis leaves and pear sorbet to create a juicy yet cool experience.

At its heart you’ll find elegant jasmine sambac, jasmine de grasse bloom and frosted orange blossom which envelop your senses, leaving a soft blanket of delicate white florals.

Base notes of creamy vanilla and warm sandalwood round off the scent with a milky warmth which brings all of the elements together to create a beautiful fruity floral fragrance. 

 Considering just how pink and girly this fragrance appeared at first I was really pleasantly surprised by the overall scent.

It was not at all as expected and was actually quite softly sophisticated.

Undoubtedly feminine, it isn’t over the top, sickly or saccharine-y. It is delicate, powdery and beautiful.

It is just the right mix of floral and fruity and the vanilla and sandalwood really do round it off to perfection, leaving a warmth that I wasn’t expecting.

Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Sucre

Viva La Juicy Sucre by Juicy Couture has to be one of the most eye catching fragrances that I’ve ever laid my eyes on!

The packaging is nothing short of a delectable work of art which sees the iconic Viva la Juicy bottle transformed into what can only be described as a cupcake!

The bottle sits within a structured gold case and features creamy frosting dripping all over the top. A pink polka dot bow adorns the lid, rather like the cherry on the top of a cake leaving a fabulous physical representation of the sweet, delicious scent within.

With a fragrance that looks like this you may expect to experience an overwhelmingly sugary, sickly sweet scent, but you will be surprised to discover that this is not the case.

Yes, it is a sweet fragrance, but it is also soft, creamy and sumptuous.

Viva La Juicy Sucre opens with top notes of mandarin and juicy red currant with Brazilian gardenia.

This fruitiness gives way to heart notes of orange flower, jasmine sambac, peach nectar and almond cream, a beautiful combination of soft sweetness.

Base notes of vanilla extract and sandalwood offer a sweet warmth while crushed cocoa beans finish off the fragrance with an undeniably decadent and delicious note.

Fans of gourmand scents should not be put off by the over the top appearance of the bottle. 

Is the bottle chic and sophisticated? Hell no. It’s cute playful and dare I say it, a tad gaudy but the fragrance is really rather lovely.

It is a sophisticated gourmand that I really enjoy using.

Fans of Angel and La Vie Est Belle will love this.
