Diet Chef: Week 3 Review

So it's week three of the Diet Chef diet and I am thrilled to say that I've lost another pound and a half! I reckon I could have lost more but it was my birthday on Sunday so naturally I had the day off and indulged a little!

I think if I had time to do more exercise I'd certainly be losing a lot more but to be honest I'm very happy with a loss of one pound a week.

After all, it did take nine months to put on the weight so I can't expect it to just to go over night!

Better still, when I stepped on the scales this morning I found out that I finally broken another stone barrier!

My favourite breakfast!

Not that I've lost another stone but I finally dropped down into a smaller one! I'm over the moon to see that number on the scales!

Don't get me wrong, I've still got a long way to go, but seeing the numbers creep down fills me with so much motivation!

I'm fully in the swing of things with this diet now and find that I'm now feeling less hungry and my cravings have really diminished.

I actually get really excited and look forward to my dinners now and because of all the extra fruit and veg I've been eating I feel healthier than I've been in a very long time.

Beef In Ale

My new favourite dinner is the Diet Chef beef in ale!

It's a yummy, rich sauce with flaky beef and sliced potatoes. I like to add a tonne of veg and 150cals worth of wholemeal rice to the meal to bulk it out a little and help to make up my one of the 5 portions of fruit and veg.

I still find it hard to believe that these meals come from microwaveable packs! They're so good!

Speaking of good, check out their paprika flavour bakes. They are such a yummy, flavoursome treat between meals!

So, next week is my last week on the diet and I'm going to work super hard to ensure a good loss next week too so I'm going to up my daily pram work outs!

Diet Chef: Week 2 Review

This week I've lost half a pound and I'm a bit down about it.

Apart from one evening last week when I was taken out for dinner, I've stuck to my diet chef diet religiously.

I'm not sure why I've only lost half a pound, especially after my fab 2lb loss last week, but I'm hoping it's just a blip.

Still, half a pound loss is better than half a pound gain, so I'm going I try and stay positive and plough on.

I'm out walking every day with Franky in his pram and while I know it's not high intensity cardio, every little helps, right?

This week I've really taken to the peanut flavour protein bars.

A bit like the soft Chocolate cookie, they don't taste like diet food.

Covered in a thin layer of chocolate, they are soft like nougat and have little crunchie soya pieces in them. These are within the "lunch" section of the diet chef menu but I rather like these for breakfast!

My favourite dinner of the week is the mushroom stroganoff. It's only 165 calories so I supplement it with 100cals of brown rice and a generous portion of veg!

It's creamy and rich tasting as well as being very tasty, and I'm never hungry after eating all this!

So my plan for this week is to try and get moving even more, when I can and carry on enjoying the food, and hopefully I'll have dropped some more lbs by next week!

Onwards and upwards!

Diet Chef: My Weight Loss Journey Begins

Like many ladies, I gained a decent amount of weight while pregnant. I refused to weigh myself through my pregnancy, but going by my current weight, I’d estimate that I gained around 3 1/2 stone.

6 months on I’ve lost 1 ½ stone, but I’m really struggling to lose the last 2. I think it’s mainly due to dwindling will power but also the inability to pop to the gym whenever I want.

The last thing I want to do at the end of a long day, when the little one has finally gone to bed, is put on my work out gear and head off to the gym. I’m exhausted by 7pm every night and want to spend time with my hubby, so it rarely (ok, never) happens.

Another issue is actually finding the time to eat regularly and healthily throughout the day. I eat what I can, when I can, and never have the time to prepare meals in advance.

 I’m just not that organised.

With all of this in mind, I’ve decided is enough is enough, I need to lose the 2 stone and so I’ve turned to Diet Chef to help me.

For those of you that haven’t heard of them before, Diet Chef provide you with breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack for every day of the week. Everything is calorie counted, portion controlled and can help you to lose 2 pounds a week, while getting to eat real, wholesome and tasty food.

They have 100 dishes to choose from, so you’re spoilt for choice and don’t have to waste time worrying about what you’re going to eat every day!

The food is convenient, easy to prepare (every dish is ready in under 3 minutes) and sounds delicious!

A diet that allows you to have a curry and chocolate cookie has GOT to be worth a try!

You order your meals online and can choose from a wide range of products for every meal. All you have to add to your pre-prepared meals is your daily allowance of fresh fruit and vegetables, and you’re assorted!

As I type, I’m waiting for my month’s worth of food to arrive and quite Frankly, I can’t wait to get started!

For now, look what I’ve got coming for me!

It’s hard to believe I’ll be able to eat some of these dishes and still lose weight, I’m so excited!

I’ll be updating you regularly on my progress and weight loss journey with Diet Chef, so stay tuned!
