Clarins Limited Edition Pretty Day 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette

Every season I look forward to seeing what Clarins has to offer with their Limited Edition collections and Autumn 2015 certainly hasn't disappointed!

Drawing inspiration from autumnal shades the collection is full of soft beige and fresh pink shades for daytime and smoky purples and carbon blacks for evening.

 

 

One of the most beautiful pieces from their autumn collection is the Limited Edition Pretty Day 5 Colour Eyeshadow Palette (£33).

This compact palette contains five gorgeous, wearable shades from a matte nude to a shimmering, satin chocolate brown.

The mix of matte and shimmery as well as light and darker shades means that this palette can take you from a subtle day look to a dramatic evening eye in one go.

The matte nude offers a great base colour and I am in love with the slightly iridescent pink shade, it's so so pretty and looks gorgeous with the next shade along, a shimmery taupe.

For a more dramatic look the two chocolate brown shades are perfect and with a choice of either a matte or shimmery finish, you can go as glam or as natural as you like.

Each shadow is beautifully soft, easy to apply and can be layered and blended easily to create the look you're after.

There is not a single shade in this compact that I don't love!

Clarins Limited Edition Colours Of Brazil Collection

This May sees the launch of Clarins’ new Summer make up collection, and it’s a stunning one let me tell you!

Be whisked away on an exotic journey to colourful Brazil, a region known for its playful colour and prints. 

The stunning range features sensual embellishments, where rich gold’s and bronze’s are designed to reflect the sandy beaches of Brazil and bright blues and coral mirror the beautiful sea. 

 One of my favourite items from the collection is the Limited Edition Summer Bronzing Compact (£30).

I am a sucker for pretty products and this is certainly pretty!

This utterly gorgeous palette is perfect for all skin tones thanks to the array of multi tonal shades within.

It is a gorgeously warm, matte bronzer that gives your skin the perfect amount of luminosity and bronzed glow without appearing too orange!

It is silky soft on your skin and applies evenly, leaving your skin look healthy, luminous and sun kissed.

It is beautifully embossed with a South American inspired motif and when applied to your skin, reveals a hint of a delicate fragrance which smells like summer!

 The new Limited Edition Colours of Brazil Quartet and Eye Liner Palette (£32) is my other favourite item from the collection.

Like the bronzer, this palette also features similar South American inspired embossing across the four wet and dry eyeshadows and eyeliner.

 

The palette features two matte and two satin shadows, in warming browns, golds and a stunning coral! The combination of matte and satin shadows allows you to create a really dynamic look with depth and richness.

As for the eyeliner, WOW! It is a rich royal blue which reminds me of a colour you’d find Cleopatra wearing! It’s gorgeous!

 Each shade is fabulously pigmented and really easy to blend and build, allowing you to create a subtle summer time look or a more bold and bright one, depending on your mood.

Clarins Eye Quartet Mineral Palette in Forest

I get very excited when Clarins release their latest season eye palettes because I know they are always gorgeous and beautiful, and this season is no different.

I had a play around with their Eye Quartet Mineral Palette in Forest which includes shades of bronze, gold, taupe and khaki.

Yes, the browns and golds are colours I would generally always go for but not khaki, so I was interested to see how it would look!

As always, these shadows can be used either dry or wet, though I personally never use them wet for fear of ruining my beautiful palette!

Each shade is highly pigmented, as soft as silk and provides fab, long lasting colour.

Two foam tipped applicators are designed for you to shade and blend seamlessly, allowing you to create beautiful looks!

I do love how Clarins always includes a little ‘how to get the look’ card in their palettes, with a simple where to use each shadow on your eye, for those of us unsure how to use all 4 colours together.

I’m happy to report that the Khaki shade wasn’t at all as green as I had imagined and looked beautiful with the other autumnal shades, making this palette my new go-to for autumn!

Clarins A/W Limited Edition Collection

One of the many things Clarins is fab at, is creating gorgeous, limited edition collections and I’m thrilled to say that this autumn and Christmas is no different.

Clarins Colour Accents Face & Blush Powder (£30) helps to illuminate and enhance your complexion to help hide wrinkles and imperfections while leaving you with a flawless finish. 

The compact comprises of 3 different skin tone shades and a gorgeous pink blush, when used together blends perfectly to leave a soft, ultra fine finish.

If you are after the perfect Christmas Party eyeshadow palette this winter, look no further than another of Clarins’ gorgeous items.

The Clarins Odyssey Eye Quartet Palette (£30) is something extremely special.

The motif on the top of the palette (not pictured) evokes  images of ancient Greek  Godesses, while the rich, golden brown hues of the shadows  inside glint like long lost treasure.

This palette is perfect for creating both a soft day look and a dramatic night-out look.

I defy you to be able to just cast your eyes over this product without finding yourself drawn to one of the shadows in particular.

Yep I’m talking about the really gold shadow. 

This shadow is different in consistency and look from the three others in the palette.

 While the others are relatively soft and matte, this shadow is like molten gold.

Soft to the touch, the shadow comes away as if it were flakes of gold leaf and is so pigmented that you find yourself dazzled by it!

It is absolutely stunning and looks fab all over the lid or just in the top and bottom corners of your eyes to open them up.
