Britney Spears Rainbow Fantasy

If you read my blog regularly you’ll know that I have a big passion for fragrances. I love the way in which a scent can lift, change and compliment your mood depending on the time of year, time of day or even occasion.

I’m also not usually a huge fan of celebrity scents, that’s not to say that there aren’t any that I don’t love- there are several, but my all-time favourite celeb fragrance maker is the one and only Britney Spears.

Britney just seems to ‘get me’ in terms of the scents I love. 

Her latest addition to her every growing collection could possibly top my all-time favourite (fantasy).

Say hello to Rainbow Fantasy.

Described as an oriental floral, id actually say it’s more of a light gourmand scent.

Housed within her now iconic bottle rainbow brings a bright fresh, vivid and fun element to the fragrance. Iridescent oranges, pinks and blues create a stunning treat for the eyes and I simply adore the lilac hue of the wrap which adorns the neck of the bottle.

Whimsical, feminine and fun it just radiates the magic that rainbows create.

In terms of the scent itself, Rainbow Fantasy opens with notes of juicy pear, sweet cloudberry and mouth-watering lemon caviar for a truly delicious introduction.

Mid notes of enchanting peony mingle with water lily and Jasmine petals to unleash a delicate bouquet that compliments the sweetness of the top notes.

Vibrant woods, crystalline amber and prismatic cotton candy combine to the close the scent, rounding it off with a soft depth that is simply addictive and delicious!

Britney says of the scent;

‘Rainbow Fantasy is a really magical scent that makes memories come to life, and inspires everyone to dream big’

I’d say that’s a fairly accurate description of the fragrance she’s created and if like me you love her scents, then you’re about to be blown away by Rainbow Fantasy.

Britney Spears Rainbow Fantasy costs £35 for 100ml an is available now exclusively from Superdrug before becoming available nationwide from March 27^th.

Britney Spears VIP Private Show

VIP Private Show is the scrummy new fragrance from Britney Spears.

Just when you think she couldn’t possibly create another addictive and delicious scent, she does!

Inspired by the thrill of being up close and personal with the star, VIP Private Show is everything you would expect from a Britney fragrance and it certainly does not disappoint.

This fragrance may have just overtaken Fantasy as my all time favourite Britney perfume thanks to the combination of its super cute, multifaceted bottle and its sweet yet juicy scent.

The bottle itself is a beautiful, pink, crystalline hexagon and features a spakling golden gem cap.

 In terms of some of her other fragrances it is probably the least ‘fussy’ and understated bottle thus far and I actually quite like the simplicity of it.

The scent itself is very Britney-esq and by that I mean it retains all the sweetness so familiar with her fragrances and yet it possesses more of a light-ness.

 

It is not as musky as some of the others and is probably the most floral in the entire collection.

Top notes of zesty blood oranges blend with red apple and mango nectar creating a deliciously ripe and juicy experience.

Mid notes of violet blossom, orange blossom and magnolia tone down the fruitiness somewhat, leaving a delicate, floral and feminine element before base notes of raspberry wood, golden amber and velvet musk round off the scent with a gentle, powdery softness.

It is a really lovely fragrance which is perfect for summer and sunny days, so if you find some of Britney’s other scents too sacchariney, keep an eye out for VIP Private Show when it launches on August 1^st.

Britney Spears Fantasy: The Nice Remix

Britney Spears Fantasy is one of my favourite fragrances! 

It may not be the most sophisticated smelling  or looking perfume, but its sweet and playful notes make me smile and feel happy.

In any event, think what you like about Britney and her fragrances, she’d led the way for the celebrity fragrances, has dominated the UK Market for 10 years now and has established Fantasy as the best selling celebrity fragrance.

Not bad eh.

The latest addition to her range are Fantasy The Naughty Remix and Fantasy The Nice Remix.

These two scents are essentially a remix of her iconic original Fantasy fragrance.

Each fragrance highlights particular notes from the original and has allowed her to create two new distinctive remixes! 

 The Naughty Remix, with its sensual, exotic ingredients create a sexier version of Fantasy where as The Nice Remix is more sweet, romantic and flirtatious.

Think of them as a day versus night fragrance with Nice as day and Naughty, predictably, as night.

One of the things I loved most about the original Fantasy was its light sweetness, so for me, it’s all about The Nice Remix.

It smells very similar to Fantasy, but if anything is slightly lighter and less musky.

I prefer this bottle to Fantasy too. Its leaner and sleeker and features a gold bracelet with an ‘N’ charm, which I personally wouldn’t wear but I imagine would be a big hit with some of Britney’s younger fans.
