bareMinerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation

BAREPRO is the fabulous new performance wear liquid foundation from bareMinerals.

Available In a huge range of shades, 30 to be precise, this super lightweight foundation offers great coverage and long lasting wearability.

Formulated with a Mineral Lock™ formula it provides 24 hours worth of coverage and this long wearing technology mimics your skins natural lipids, adhering to your complexion and ensure you look flawless all day long.

Featuring a natural matte finish (which is my finish of preference) it contains no oil, parabens and is fragrance free.

Papaya Enzymes help to exfoliate and improve your skins texture while Bamboo stem extract creates the illusion of a burred, soft focus effect.

The foundation itself is extremely light in texture. I’d almost describe it as ‘runny’, which made me think that it might not provide as much coverage as I need, but I was wrong.

Silky and soft to apply, it blended into my skin beautifully. So beautifully in fact that it was almost impossible to detect where I had applied it!

It matched my skin tone perfectly and immediately worked to soften blemishes, even skin tone and help to disguise pigment discolouration.

The best part? It feels wonderful to wear. It really is so light that you could be forgiven for forgetting you’re actually wearing anything.

It softens your skin tone and did not aggravate my sensitive/oily skin. In fact my skin stayed shine free for far longer than it does with my regular foundation and provided enough coverage that I only needed a tiny amount of concealer on more stubborn areas.

bareMinerals say that BAREPRO will be your new BFF and I can’t disagree. It is a brilliant medium coverage foundation that leaves your skin feeling soft and looking healthy and radiant.

bareMinerals Blemish Ready Foundation

Having skin that is prone to oiliness and breakouts means finding the right foundation can be a bit of a pain.

There are some truly gorgeous foundations out there but many of them prove to be too heavy or thick for my complexion, leaving my skin feeling clogged, shiny and generally not great.

Lucky for me then that bareMinerals have created their Blemish Ready Foundation, a gentle yet effective, non-drying, mineral-powered foundation that conceals imperfections and helps reduce the appearance of blemishes for clearer-looking skin.

This lightweight, buildable foundation offers medium to full coverage, helping to reduce the appearance of imperfections and pores while Aspen Bark and Tea Tree Oil helps to promote healthier, clearer looking skin.

Aloe helps to soothe and hydrate while the formula simultaneously controls oil and shine.

I love these skincare-makeup hybrid products as they make me feel like I’m looking after my skin while trying to make the best of what I have too.

I’ll be honest, it took me a little while to get used to using a powder foundation as I’ve always used liquid in the past but once I’d got the hang of it there was no looking back.

The powder itself is super lightweight and soft to touch. To apply, swirl a brush in a small amount of the powder foundation until it disappears into the brush, buff the excess off and buff onto your skin in a circular motion.

The powder disappears onto your skin and instantly creates a soft, matte effect. You can apply as much as you need to achieve the desired effect and it blends seamlessly leaving your skin looking flawless and beautiful.

Normally, I’d find myself needing to re-powder my t-zone within about 30 minutes of applying foundation but with this bad boy I reckon it lasted more like 2 hours, which for me is impressive!

I really loved the way it felt like I wasn’t actually wearing foundation too as it was so light and with 10 shades to choose from there’s no issue when it comes to matching one to your skin tone.

Thank you bareMinerals for creating such a great foundation!

The bareMinerals Blemish Ready Foundation costs £26 and is available now.

bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

If you suffer with tired looking, dry skin and the make up you’re using only seems to make your skin look worse, allow me to suggest a new kind of make up.

Complexion Rescue is a new tinted, hydrating gel cream created by bareMinerals and is designed to offer sheer to medium coverage and a comfortable, hydrating base for your make up.

This skin loving formula combines marine botanicals and hydrating humectants (trehalose and glycerine) to help refuel thirsty skin, mineral electrolytes to help enhance skin’s appearance, and a skin-protecting  antioxidant that helps protect against environmental stressors.

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times but makeup that is good for your skin just had to be one of the most important things to me, especially when you have really temperamental skin like me.

This lightweight cream is oil, silicone, paraben and fragrance free and contains a non chemical, mineral based SPF 30 to help protect against sun damage which is so important.

Available in 10 shades I’ve found that this cream is perfect for a natural, day time look where you don’t want to clog your skin with a heavy base.

The super light formula blends into your skin effortlessly, leaving it feeling soft and smooth while offering just a hint of coverage. You can build it slightly but it isn’t designed to offer super duper coverage, just enough to brighten your face and even your skintone.

One thing I loved about this product though was the way it made my skin look really fresh and dewey.

Its hydrating properties not only kept my skin feeling soft and nourished all day but it helped my skin to look more radiant and bright, most likely thanks to its imperfection-diffusing properties.

If you’re looking for a step up from a tinted moisturiser but a notch down from a full on foundation then I highly recommend you try bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Ceam which costs £26 and is available now.
