Murad Revitalixir Recovery Serum

If you’re looking to supercharge your skincare regime during the winter months, or indeed all year long then the first place to start would be with the addition of a serum to your skincare regime.

Designed to be used post cleansing, pre-moisturiser, serums can be used to help target specific skincare concerns and add extra hydration and plumping to your skin.

A current favourite of mine is Murad’s Revitalixir Recovery Serum (£70).

This fabulous sphere infused serum for your face and eye area is designed to help reduce puffiness, reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines, adding an instant and healthy radiance to your complexion.

Formulated with a host of skin loving ingredients and suitable for all skin types, this hard working serum is a perfect all-rounder addition to your skincare routine and is particularly useful if you suffer regularly with stress.

Who doesn’t right.

According to research, a high stress lifestyle can makes you appear up to 3.5 years older (and the rest mate!)

While the market is flooded with products aimed specifically at ageing, the visible and damaging effects of stress have largely been ignored.

Murad seeks to address this issue by combining high performing, relaxing and reviving ingredients to target the premature ageing effects that stress has on the skin.

Please Note: The pearl spheres are not dispensed from the tube, they burst within the tube during dispensing I have simply photographed them like this for the purpose of the blog post.

This serum contains a blend of neuropeptide, paracress and sativa seed oil which helps to smooth your skin while boosting softness and moisture levels.

Niacinamide works to refine your skins texture, wild indigo helps to calm stress signals and reduce the appearance of dark eye circles and caffeine minimises puffiness while toning.

What is the purpose of the little purple balls suspended in the serum for I hear you ask?

Well, they’re not there to just look pretty. By separating the oil-based spheres and the water-based gel, traditional binders have been eliminated to allow for a more potent, concentrated formula and a higher delivery of actives.

Result.

The serum itself is wonderfully silky in texture, light and possesses a beautiful, delicate refreshing aroma.

Instantly absorbed, it felt like my skin drank it in thirstily.

After application, my skin felt revived, soothed and instantly more toned.

The serum has a gel/water like a texture, so there is no greasiness or residue and despite its feather-like texture, managed to quench my thirsty skin.

I’ve noticed a really positive change since using this serum twice daily; my skin feels healthier, softer and more radiant, even when I’ve had far from the ideal 8 hours sleep.

Murad’s Revitalixir Recovery Serum is available now and costs £70.
