I love L’Occitane and all that it stands for.
Every year to mark International Women’s Day on March 8th
they launch an exclusive solidarity product to support women in developing
countries.
L’Occitane itself have been working with the women of
Burkina Faso for over 30 years now, to produce the shea butter used in their
award winning products.
Over the years, L’Occitane have formed a strong bond with
these women and with literacy, education and financial stability being the key
priorities to their wellbeing L’Occitane will support the by donating 100% of
the profits from this year’s Solidarity product to fund special projects with
the local NGO’s.
Nice one guys!
This year the product in question is a rose scented
Ultra-Soft Balm. Made with 98.6% shea butter, this super nourishing balm can be
used on your lips, body and hair making it a great multi-purpose product.
The tin itself is adorned with brightly coloured motifs
evocative of wax print fabrics which are worn by the Burkinabe women and are a
symbol of festivity and tradition deeply rooted in African cultural heritage.
The balm is small and compact, perfect for slipping into you
handbag for on the go application, smells beautiful and does a great job of keeping
all your chapped, dry bits nice and nourished!
The Ultra-Soft Balm only costs £4, so even if you aren’t a
huge fan of the delicate floral scent, it’s not going to break the bank and all
of your money will be going to a great cause.
The balm is available now online and in store.
