Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Before you say anything, I know how late I am to the EsteeLauder Double Wear foundation fan club, BUT, better late than never eh and now I finally understand what all the fuss is about.

This is the UK's NO. 1 Foundation*, boasting an impressive 15-hours worth of staying power.

When you have oily skin like me, I can confirm that nothing I’ve tried so far in the way of foundations has ever succeeded in staying in place for an entire, so I was excited to put this claim to the test.

The foundation itself is marketed as medium coverage but I would be inclined to say it verges on full thanks to it’s ability to hide a multitude of sins with just a small amount of product.

Despite its impressive coverage, it actually isn’t a heavy or thick liquid, in fact it is pretty lightweight and easy to apply.

It goes on evenly, covering blemishes and dark circles as it goes, disappearing without a trace and leaving no shiny, oily looking patches.

It comes in a huge range of shades so you can make sure you get the one that is closest to your natural colour and it blends in perfectly making it almost impossible to detect!

Once set with some powder, this bad boy is here to stay, and I truly mean it! No smudging, no melting, nothing! Its lasting power is pretty impressive actually.

Now, despite its lightweight texture, I personally didn’t find it lightweight on my skin. By this I mean that I could ‘feel’ it on my face, and on particularly hot days my skin started to feel a little claustrophobic (if that’s even possible!).

That could be due to the fact that I rarely wear a full face of foundation  and during the summer months I rarely ever wear make up, let alone a medium/full coverage foundation so could be down to personal experience.

If your skin needs a hardworking foundation that can cover imperfections to perfection, then without a doubt Estee Lauder’s Double Wear foundation is the foundation for you.

You can check it out for yourself now from Debenhams where it is available in a huge range of shades and costs £31.

  1. I only bought this a couple months ago and I absolutely love it, I actually think this is my perfect foundation and the colour match is brilliant. It gives my skin an even tone and I've always had compliments when I've done my make up.
