Nicki Minaj Pink Friday: Review

Minaj fans, it’s finally here!

Meet Pink Friday, Nicki’s debut fragrance.

Described as an Intoxicating Floral Musk, it is nothing like I thought it would smell.

It is far sweeter than I imagined, on a par almost with Britney Spears Fantasy I’d say.

Yes, perhaps the saccharine-pink packaging should have been a bit of a giveaway, along with the unique, bizarre but undoubtedly stunning bottle, but it still surprised me.

Notes of starfruit, mandarin, vanilla and caramelized pear bask in the warmth of musks and woods to create a sweet, but not instantly recognizable fragrance.

It is a bit ‘samey’- cute and pleasant, but for me, not AMAZING.

In my opinion, the best thing about this fragrance is the bottle, and the price, which I thought was really reasonable.

It is so unique and so Nicki and I really do love my barbz (what Nicki has affectionally called her Barbie-esq bottle)

Complete with her trademark pink hair and lips, the deluxe size bottle even features an original NICKI MINAJ nameplate necklace.

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday is available now and costs a very reasonable £39 for 100ml, £29 for 50ml and £24 for 30ml.

Bobbi Brown Lilac Rose Collection

Lilac Rose is the beautiful new collection from cult brand Bobbi Brown.

Described  as a modern take on spring floral, the range comprises of a new eye palette, shimmer brick, 3 new lipgloss shades, a new sparkle eye shadow shade, a new blush and new nail polish.

Dusty, vintage lilacs and heathers contrast beautifully with the bright and vibrant pinks and purples to create a stunning collection and look.

The Lilac Rose Eye Palette (£45) is hands down one of the most beautiful palettes I’ve ever seen.
All eight of the shadows are gorgeous, spring-like, wearable shades.

Normally you get the odd one or two dud shades in a palette, but every single one of these bad boys are gorgeous!

Shades: Ivory Eye Shadow, Heather Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Pale Rose Eye Shadow, Dusty Lilac Eye Shadow, Barely There Eye Shadow, Black Chocolate Eye Shadow, Stormy Grey Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Pink Lily Metallic Eye Shadow.

I love the new lip gloss in Pink Lily (£17).

It is bright, vivid shade which is scented with a delicate hint of vanilla.

It doesn’t just look good as extracts of Avocado, Jojoba, Chamomile Oils and Aloe extract work to keep your lips soft and supple.

The new Limited edition Nail Polish shade in Roza (£11) compliments the collection with its stunning pale heather pink shade.

COMO Shambhala Shower Gel & Bath Milk

I don’t often find myself blogging about amazing shower gels or bath products, but these bad boys certainly deserve a mention.

COMO Shambhala's Invigorate Shower Gel (£20) and Invigorate Bath Milk (£24) were originally formulated for use in the world famous COMO Hotel and Resort Spas.

They became so popular that they found there was a market to sell them outside the spa, so here we are today.

You really do need smell-o-vision to truly appreciate the magnificence of these products.

Invigorate shower gel and the bath milk are both packed full of the natural, refreshing and indulgent scents of  eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender and geranium .

Upon popping the lids of both products your senses are enveloped by the beautiful aromas.

Close your eyes and you could easily imagine yourself relaxing in one COMO's  spas!

The shower gel is a gorgeous product which gently tingles thanks to the peppermint and eucalyptus and lathers into a rich foam from only a small amount of gel.

The bath milk is equally indulgent, turning a regular bath into a relaxing, tranquil experience.

As bath and shower products go, they aren’t cheap, but they are absolutely divine and in my opinion, worth evey penny.

You can get your hands on their products from Cult Beauty or Urban Retreat.
